Surprise in middle of adult sports league registration

The Surprise Parks and Recreation Department is now accepting registrations for fall adult co-ed and men’s softball, men’s basketball, co-ed and women’s kickball, men’s flag football, and co-ed indoor volleyball leagues.
New and returning teams may register. Participants must register as teams.
Registrations for the Fall 2020 season can be accepted by phone or by completing the online registration form at surpriseaz.gov/recreation.
With the daily reassessments in relation to the COVID-19 pandemic; schedules, rules, and general guidance are subject to change. Teams are to adhere to the guidelines set forth by the CDC. No spectators will be allowed.
The sports offered include:
Adult co-ed and men’s softball
*Games will be played at Dick McComb Park, 17894 W. Westpark Blvd.
** Games will be played at Bicentennial Park, 16705 N. Nash St.
Team Registration Fee: $450
League Nights: Co-ed Friday*; Co-ed Sunday*; Men’s Tuesdays*; Men’s Thursdays**
Season Begins: Sept. 13
League Format: 14-game season (double-headers) and a single elimination tournament
Team Limit: 16 teams
Men’s basketball
Games will be played at the Villanueva Recreation Center, 15660 N. Hollyhock St.
Team Registration Fee: $400
League Nights: Tuesdays
Season Begins: Sept. 15
League Format: Eight-game season (double-headers) and a single-elimination tournament
Team Limit: Eight teams
Co-ed kickball
Games will be played at Dick McComb Park, 17894 W. Westpark Blvd.
Team Registration Fee: $150
League Nights: Saturdays
Season Begins: Oct. 1
League Format: 10-game season (double-headers) and a single-elimination tournament
Team Limit: 8 teams
NEW! Women’s kickball
Games will be played at Marley Park – City Park, 15126 W. Sweetwater Ave.
Team Registration Fee: $150
League Nights: Saturdays
Season Begins: TBD
League Format: 10-game season (double-headers) and a single elimination tournament
Team Limit: Eight teams
4-on-4 Flag Football
Games will be played at OUAZ Spirit Field, 14440 W. Tierra Buena Lane.
Team Registration Fee: $300
League Nights: Sundays
Season Begins: Sept. 13
League Format: 12-game season (double-headers) and a single-elimination tournament
Team Limit: 16 teams
Co-ed Indoor Volleyball
Games will be played at OUAZ Spirit Arena, 14440 W. Tierra Buena Lane.
Team Registration Fee: $175
League Nights: Sundays
Season Begins: Sept. 13
League Format: Eight-game season and a single-elimination tournament
Team Limit: 10 teams
