Surprise adds Ottawa to college tours

The city of Surprise Parks and Recreation Department has added Ottawa University Arizona to its College Tour lineup.

Surprise teens, ages 13-18, can explore some state colleges on the following field trips:

  • Grand Canyon University (Friday, March 20)
  • Ottawa University (Monday, March 30)
  • Northern Arizona University (Friday, April 24)

Ottawa is located at 15950 N. Civic Center Plaza, Surprise.

The cost is $15 per field trip and includes transportation, a campus tour, information about the school’s offerings, and a medium drink from a local coffee shop. Those who sign up for the OUAZ trip will get a drink and popcorn.

Registrations are being accepted at the Parks & Recreation Office, 15960 N. Bullard Ave. A permission slip must be signed and turned into the office or submitted by email to Michelle Yingling at michelle.yingling@surpriseaz.gov. Plan to bring a sack lunch or additional money to purchase food.
