Sun City Grand ballroom dance has historical, military theme

Sun City Grand will host a special ballroom dance next month honoring the role music and dance have played in war.
The USO Stage Door Canteen is 7 to 9:30 p.m. Saturday, July 16, at the Sonoran Plaza, 19753 N. Remington Drive in Surprise. Vito Mandarino will play waltzes, foxtrots, swing and Latin dances.
Dressing to fit the World War II or military theme is optional but encouraged. No jeans, shorts or flip flops. Tickets are $10 and may be purchased atsuncitygrand.com, at the SCG Activities Desk or at the door.
Snacks and soft drinks are welcome but no outside alcohol. A cash bar opens at 6:30 p.m.
