The Rotary Club of Surprise is hosting its 13th Annual “Fore! The Kids” Charity Golf Tournament, Sunday, Nov. 7 at Coyote Lakes Golf Club, 18800 N. Coyote Lakes Parkway, Surprise.

More than 120 golfers are expected to hit the course to have fun, test their golfing skills and raise money for the Rotary Club’s sponsored education and student activities for the year. Last year, more than $6,000 was raised through green fees, sponsorships, donations and live auction bids.

Sign up is only $90 per golfer or $320 per foursome and includes the awards luncheon which follows the tournament. Proceeds support students and education in the community through scholarships, financial support of their student-run Interact Club at Arizona Charter Academy as well several annual Rotary Interact events including the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards camps, Rotary Youth Exchange, the new Middle School RYLA, the Fall Interact Leadership Conference and the Interact District Conference.

Each year, thousands of young people take part in the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards program worldwide. High School sophomores and juniors are selected for their leadership abilities and experiences. Rotary Clubs conduct individual interviews and select award winners (delegates) to attend the four-day event.

The Rotary clubs pay all expenses for the delegate’s weekend. Those attending will reinforce their leadership abilities & skills by exploring several education tracks including fundamentals of leadership, ethics and leadership, problem-solving and conflict management, rotary’s purpose and service to the community, building self-confidence as well as elements of community and global citizenship.

Rotary of Surprise is still encouraging local businesses and organizations to join with a foursome and/or with a tournament sponsorship. These range from a basic diamond sponsorship of $500, a jade polo shirt sponsorship of $2000 to the exclusive ruby sponsorship of $5,000.

All sponsorships include a team entry in the tournament. With the uncertainties of the Covid-19 pandemic everyone needs a little more help.
Call tournament chair Kevin Moore at 623-972-8161 to see how to customize a sponsorship opportunity to get you the “biggest bang for a buck."
