Rotary of Surprise shreds for Arizona Charter Academy

Rotary Club of Surprise Secretary, Nancy Collins recently presented a $500 check to Melissa Holdaway, the Chief Operations Officer of Arizona Charter Academy, Arizona Charter Academy Rotary Interact Club Officer Odry Ayon and Jeri Robertson, English/journalism teacher and Interact Club chair at ACA.

This funding was gained from an earlier Shred-A-Thon hosted by the Rotary Club of Surprise and held at ACA, 16025 N Dysart Road, Surprise.

The Rotary Club of Surprise is part of Rotary International, a service organization with the motto “Service Above Self.”

The club meets at 6 p.m. on the first and third Thursdays at restaurants throughout the Surprise area.

Rotary International is an international service organization whose stated purpose is to bring together business and professional leaders in order to provide humanitarian service and to advance goodwill and peace around the world.

It is a non-political and non-religious organization open to all. There are more than 35,000 member clubs worldwide, with a membership of 1.2 million individuals, known as Rotarians.
