Reminder: No July 4th fireworks show in Surprise

Event canceled as COVID-19 worsens

Posted

A reminder: the city of Surprise has canceled its July 4th fireworks show because of the growing COVID-19 crisis in Arizona.

The city originally canceled its July 4th Celebration in April when COVID cases first began rising dramatically across the country.

But last month, the city announced plans for a modified celebration that would include a 20-minute fireworks show that residents could watch from their cars or homes.
