Why should voters trust you to serve?

My history of public service and fiscal responsibility.

Rank your top three issues for Surprise voters:

  1. Public safety
  2. Jobs
  3. Smart growth

How do you keep a balanced budget with the uncertainties of COVID-19?

Review revenue and expenses constantly.

How will Surprise stay as a tourist destination in a time of COVID-19?

Message safety and execute on it because once we put the message out there they have to execute on it when they come through cleanliness and distancing.

What is the top issue facing the city specifically?

Insuring that public safety keeps up with the growth.

What is Surprise’s biggest recent missed opportunity?

We were a finalist with a company, but it was under a code name. So, I can’t tell you what the company was. [It was between] us, a city in Texas and a city in Nevada. It went to a city in Texas. We’re finalists with two other companies right now. It’s just a matter of time.

What is Surprise’s single biggest need?

One thing that really bugs me is there’s really a need for a furniture store here. We have about 141,000 people, and we don’t have a furniture store. We have all these new homes and people have to furnish them. That and youth entertainment.

What’s the best thing about Surprise?

That it’s clean, safe and friendly.
