I recently sent an opinion letter targeting our election integrity [“It’s time to change how we conduct voting,” May 18]. There was an article in the paper that triggered my opinion.
Councilman Roland Winters took it personally, and his response indicated that I was targeting him. I was targeting our election and voting systems.
I made a suggestion that I still think has some merit if it could make sense. Voter ID and serial numbers of some sort on ballots, maybe?
I would appreciate a public apology to Mr. Winters. I was not targeting him.
