Letters: Fire Fighters want to keep DUSD override

Posted

The mission of the Surprise Fire Fighters Association is to protect life and property, while providing the highest level of emergency services to the citizens, visitors, and businesses in our community.

We are dedicated to making Surprise a safe place to live, open a business, vacation, and raise a family. We are committed to keeping you safe while protecting the quality of life for the Northwest Valley.

That is why we are supporting the Dysart override in November. Just like public safety, quality education is another key component to maintaining our communities’ quality of life. Good schools enhance neighborhoods and provide the trained workforce that companies need to hire.

Our local schools train the future firefighters, doctors, paramedics, teachers, engineers, and others who will continue to make our community a great place to live.  A “yes” vote will help the district retain its excellent teachers, keep class sizes small and support other important programs.

On behalf of the Surprise Fire Fighters Association, join us in voting for the Dysart override in November.

Vote “yes” to keep our community strong.

Editor’s Note: Mr. Payne is the president of the Surprise Fire Fighters Association.
