Letters: Assurances on Dale Road work seem like all talk

Posted

To start, drive out Grand Avenue, take a right on 163rd Avenue, go four miles, take a left on Dale Road.

Follow Dale Road two miles to 179th Avenue. The road is barley passable only because it hasn’t rained. It’s totally impassable if it rains.

Prior to buying the house on 179th, we were assured by the nice folks in City Hall that the road would be graded, drains installed and surfaced in “three months.” That was six years ago.

All who approach the nice lying folks at City Hall are given the same “three-month” promise but nothing happens.

I had to take my wife to the emergency room at 1:30 in the morning. The road (the only way out) was impassable, and I got to 163rd by driving on peoples “lawns.”

School busses have refused to use Dale Road. Mail delivery becomes a problem, but we know our tax dollars will correct the problem — in three months. In three months.
