Imagine Prep Surprise announced the creation of a lending library dedicated to the memory of Arianna Mirabelle Gannon, a student killed in a car crash July 6.

This lending library will be called “Arianna’s Corner.” Arianna was excited to transition to middle school at Imagine Prep, stated her father, Jonathan Gannon. She died just 27 days before she was to start classes at the charter school.

It’s the same school all her siblings attended. On May 24, Arianna was promoted from fifth grade at Imagine Rosefield into sixth grade at Imagine Prep.

Her father said she detailed her excitement to attend Imagine Prep in her personal journal after visiting campus for the annual “Shadow Day,” when fifth-graders get to come and experience what middle school will be like.

“Arianna’s Corner” will be a space filled with books to read, share, return, or keep for all students. The lending library will be dedicated on at 4:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 17 with a reception following in the gym, 14850 N. 156th Ave.
