Highland Prep, Imagine Prep back on Surprise campuses
Surprise charter high schools returned earlier this month

Independent Newsmedia
Two Surprise charter schools are open for students again after having been closed to on-campus learning because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Imagine Prep, 14850 N 156th Ave., allowed students to return to on-campus learning Sept. 21.
The charter middle and high school campus in Surprise is offering a hybrid learning model. Students registered for the hybrid program have been divided into two groups to allow for smaller class sizes, increasing the opportunity to socially distance students and staff.
Students with last names beginning with A through L will attend school on Mondays and Thursdays. Students with last names beginning with M through Z will attend school on Tuesdays and Fridays.
In-person learning resumed Sept. 14 at Highland Prep School, 15600 W. Hearn Road. Zoom classes are still offered. Since reopening, the charter high school has staggered its dismissal and pickup times for students, with four classes dismissed every three minutes.
Also for Highland Prep students, the School Day SAT will be administered Wednesday, Oct. 14. Spots are limited to 60. Fifteen of the spots are reserved for students who qualify for free and reduced lunch, thus qualifying for a fee waiver.
