Fulton Homes aids in feeding Surprise firefighters

Posted

Fulton Homes, 100.7 KSLX and local Safeway and Albertson’s stores are teaming up to thank Arizona’s firefighters for their service.

As part of Fulton Homes’ “Food for Firefighters” campaign, the organizations will be hosting separate events throughout the greater Phoenix area to collect grocery gift cards for the United Phoenix Firefighters, including one stop in Surprise.

These gift cards will help to supplement the needs of each firehouse, which are stocked by the working fire fighters on shift.

The cards will be accepted in Surprise at Safeway, 17049 W. Bell Road, from 9 to 11 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 23.

“We owe so much to the firefighters who put their lives on the line for our communities every day,” said Doug Fulton, CEO of Fulton Homes. “Many may not know that, just like everyone else, firefighters pay for their own food and supplies on the job. As a show of thanks for these everyday heroes, we want to positively contribute to their experience at work by absorbing some of the cost of their food supplies and basic needs on the job.”

Fulton will also be donating $1,000 directly to five fire stations throughout the Valley.

Fulton and KSLX kicked off the campaign at the Safeway located at 47th Street and Indian School Road, where Fulton Homes representatives and KSLX host Karen Dalessandro collected gift cards for the cause.

For individuals who would like to contribute to the campaign but cannot make it out to an event, they can visit the United Phoenix Firefighters website at phxffcharities.org to make a direct financial contribution.
