Founder’s Day Party plans set in Surprise

City to host annual holiday event under new name

The city of Surprise is inviting interested outreach organizations, promotional vendors and local businesses to participate in the city’s Surprise Founder’s Day Party.

The event, formerly known as the Surprise Party, is scheduled for 2 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3 at the Surprise Recreation Campus, 15960 N. Bullard Ave.

Surprise Founder’s Day Party is a free event featuring live family entertainment with a shopping village, a holiday tree lighting, Santa Claus, a drone show, a carnival and more.

The event is expected to draw 12,000 to 15,000 people.

The Surprise Founder’s Day Party promotional booth fee is $500 for businesses and $150 for nonprofit organizations. A booth includes a 10x10 vendor tent, a table and two chairs. Note space is limited.

To register, head to surpriseaz.gov/surpriserec and create an account for an organization, then click on “Special Events,” or call 623-222-2000.
