Fellowship Square Senior Living Community, 16477 W. Bell Road, has been leading an initiative to honor the veterans who call their campus home.
This project, led by Erin Autio and Chaplain Dan Brookey, places a picture of each veteran on a Wall of Honor. The pictures list the names, rank, and branch of service, for each of these heroes.
During the spring, the Wall of Honor was unveiled. On Veteran’s Day, Nov. 11, it was officially dedicated, with a formal ceremony and Color Guard being presented by Luke Air Force Base.
“The Wall of Honor at Fellowship Square is a fitting and memorable tribute to our Veterans,” Executive Director Jami Gross said. “To fully appreciate their service, we must never forget their sacrifice. We must make sure the magnitude of their actions are honored and revered by generations to come. This Veteran’s Day, we attempt to show our gratitude with the creation and dedication of the Wall of Honor.”
