Efficient water use class upcoming

Surprise residents looking to learn about water efficiency with desert adapted plants now have their chance from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Dec. 10 at the Water Education Center, 16126 N. Civic Center Plaza.

The city of Surprise is offering a class about plants in the desert.

The city said this class will describe typical urban desert landscapes and how plants survive in this climate.

Attendees will be armed with the knowledge to choose a variety of plants that can transform an outdoor space and lower water bills.
