Dysart students star in crossing safety video

On June 25 staff and student volunteers from Dysart schools demonstrated safe school crossing procedures for a new regional crossing guard training video shoot.

Led by the MAG — Maricopa Association of Governments — with support from the city of Surprise, city of Phoenix and the city of Glendale, the team updated crossing guard training materials and the training video.

These efforts provide education and training region wide to address safe travel to and from school. This serves as a great reminder to pay extra attention to the road as school starts Aug. 3 in the Dysart Unified School district.

The district has 17 total schools in Surprise, six in El Mirage and one, Luke Elementary, in Glendale.
