Colour Blinde performs a 5 p.m. set Saturday, Jan. 25 at Birt’s Bistro on the main Benevilla campus at the Hellen & John M. Jacobs Independence Plaza, 16752 N. Greasewood St., Surprise.
The combo plays jazz, blues, Latin and more, and will play a free concert. Colour Blinde has been around 14 years, and all five musicians come from different musical backgrounds, including rock, Brazilian, pop, country and jazz. Group members include Erne Barge and Brad Griffin on guitars, Eugene Eva on bass, Mike Sheahan on drums, and Hector Valencia, the leader on trumpet and flugelhorn.
“Our music is colorfully wrapped in packages of perfect harmony,” Mr. Valencia states on the band’s Facebook page. “I’ve been honored to work with some of the greatest.”
