Program supports caregivers through social distancing

Posted

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Benevilla has made its Life Coaching Program more accessible to the community by making sessions available over the phone.

The Benevilla Life Coaching program supports caregivers by addressing specific personal events, general conditions, relationships, and/or transitions in their personal life. Through a respectful and interactive process Benevilla examines what is happening in the world right now, identifies obstacles, and creates a course of action to move forward in life.

Call 623-584-4999 or email cares@benevilla.org to sign up for the Benevilla Life Coaching Program.

The program offers confidential one-on-one sessions with trained Benevilla Life Coach Connie Danks, M.A. Coping strategies, resources and guidance will be customized toward specific challenges each caregiver faces. Between sessions caregivers will work on realistic, attainable goals and lifestyle changes based on specific needs.

Benevilla understands the stress this pandemic has put on our caregivers and we know the needs of caregivers will not pause as this pandemic continues, and is offering any caregiver in need of support 15 minutes of free coaching with Ms. Danks.

“We are very excited to offer this opportunity to our community,” Vice President of Programs Courtney Allen stated in a news release. “We feel fortunate to be here and still operating and able to serve more caregivers with this much needed one-on-one support.”

Located at 16752 N. Greasewood St., in Surprise and started by the community and for the community in 1981, Benevilla is a not-for-profit family services agency dedicated to enriching the lives of West Valley residents by providing care services for older adults, adults with disabilities, children, and families.
