Benevilla hosts its next free “Educate with the Experts” workshop 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 19.

This interactive online workshop titled “Alphabet Soup” will feature expert senior care partners from Sun Health: Toni Horton, health center administrator at Grandview Terrace and from The Montecito Senior Living, Shanna Black, director of community outreach. Expert C.A.R.E.S.

Partners will help participants learn the nuances between the different levels of care senior living facilities offer. They will help find the right community based on needs, expectations, state of health and financial situation. They will also review and explain what questions should be asked when searching for the right memory care, assisted or independent living facility.

To reduce the risk of public exposure during the COVID-19 pandemic, Benevilla has chosen to convert their education workshops into live stream, online video events. Benevilla will use the Zoom audio/video conference platform to host these live presentations. A Benevilla C.A.R.E.S. (Community Assistance, Resources, Education & Support) representative is also available at each workshop with additional information.

Benevilla will continue using the online format for workshops in the near future. Upcoming workshops will cover a broad range of important topics from in-home care management and hospice to estate preparation and tax savings tips. Speakers are all selected professionals who can answer questions and provide guidance and resources needed to prepare for senior life changes especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Reservations are required with a working email address. Participants will then be provided a secure link and password as well as instructions on how to attend via the secure Zoom video conference application. Call 623-584-4999 to reserve a spot.
