The event will take place 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 27 in the main ballroom of Briarwood Country Club, 20800 N. 135th Ave.  The community is asked to schedule an appointment at bloodhero.com using sponsor code “SCWABC” or by calling 1-877-258 -4825.

Attendees are requested to support the local non-profit Benevilla and their mission in the community to enrich lives of West Valley residents by serving older adults, adults with disabilities, children and the families who care for them. Benevilla will have table at the event to accept cash donations, gas cards, gift cards and non-perishable canned goods. Credit card donations can also be made ahead of time by visiting benevilla.org/donate/.

“The efforts and the support of the SCW Alliance of Business & Community are greatly appreciated” said Sara Villanueva, Benevilla VP of fund development. “The donations we receive at the event will be used for our Family Resource Center to provide parents and caregivers the tools they need to foster their children’s development.”

The blood drive will be conducted by Vitalant, formerly known as United Blood Services. Advance appointments are encouraged to help maintain safe and secure environment for the donors. Vitalant will insure all possible COVID-19 precautions will be practiced including use of social distancing, masks, face shields, gloves, wipes, and hand sanitizers. All volunteers will practice “safety first" procedures to protect club members and the public. All donors must bring and wear a mask or cloth-based face covering.
