The Sun Health Resale Shops officials salute volunteers during Volunteer Appreciation Week, and give special thanks to theirs.
Volunteering is one way to give back in support of superior health care for the community. Shopping and donating gently-used, boutique-quality items are others.
Spring is a great time of year to shop resale, with new items every week. Stop by the Sun Health Resale Boutique, 9843 W. Bell Road, Sun City and the Sun Health Resale Shop, 14445 W. R.H. Johnson Blvd., Sun City West. Current hours are 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday-Friday. Visitors can sign up for email alerts to stay up to date on weekly sales.
The shops offer a variety of bargains, from fashionable clothing, shoes and jewelry to household items, furniture and more. Every purchase supports superior health care in the community, funding critical health care projects at Banner Boswell, 10401 W. Thunderbird Blvd., Sun City and Del E. Webb, 14502 W. Meeker Blvd., Sun City West medical centers through Sun Health Foundation’s Generosity for Generations campaign.
Now is an ideal time for Spring cleaning, and residents can take their donations of boutique quality clothing, shoes, jewelry and household items to either shop. Furniture pickup is free for mid-size and smaller furniture items in very good, boutique-selling condition. Call 623-974-1010 to schedule a pick-up.
For those who enjoy shopping online, visit and follow eBay for new items every week.
Additional opportunities to volunteer are available and officials invite residents to join the “family.” Call Sue Slezak at 623-974-2000 or pick up an application at the resale shops.
The Sun Health Resale Shop is operated by Sun Health Foundation in partnership with the Sun City West Foundation.
