Sun City church raises money for Hospice of the Valley

Posted

The Congregational Church of Sun City, 18401 N. 99th Ave., recently presented a $1,288.00 check to Jean Marie Stockton of Hospice of the Valley, which has offices in Peoria, Surprise and Glendale.

The money was raised by a silent auction at the church’s annual Arts & Crafts Fair, which drew some 70 vendors. Items for the auction were donated by vendors as well as church members and friends of the church.

The church crafters and quilters group also donated a variety of handmade items to Hospice of the Valley.

Founded in 1976, The Congregational Church of Sun City aims to provide opportunities for worship, education and spiritual development within the framework of faith, freedom and fellowship. Worship services are 9:30 a.m. Sundays with fellowship time immediately following.
