Ring in 2020 at the annual New Year’s Eve Dance 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 31 at Palm Ridge Rec Center, 13800 W. Deer Valley Drive, Sun City West. Tickets $45 and available at suncitywest.com. Residents are invited to bring food to share as this year organizers decided to not go the catering route. The Rec Centers will provide treats. A photo booth will be available at no extra charge for pictures to take home that evening. The night’s theme is “A Starry Night.” Providing live music will be The Real Thing Variety Band, a combo fronted by vocalist sisters Melisza and Jessica Gransbergen. The rest of the band includes Dowell Davis (drums), Ervie Isom-McMaster (keys/vocals), Pete Gransbergen (bass) and Terry Bussoletti (guitar). The group covers a danceable mix of Motown, funk and Top 40 hits from the past 50 years.
