Residents welcome to donate old cellphones, eyeglasses

Donation box at PORA membership office

Posted

PORA (Sun City West Property Owners and Residents Association) is currently accepting old cellphones and eyeglasses as donations.

PORA is working with partnering agencies to recycle or repurpose each donation. The donation box can be found in the Visitors Center, 13815 W. Camino Del Sol, Sun City West. Because the Visitors Center is currently closed due to COVID-19, residents may drop phones off at the membership office.

The membership office will open to walk-in traffic 9 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Safety precautions will limit the number of people in the office to four members at a time. Members will be asked to wait outside for those who arrive and the limit has been met. Outside seating will be provided. Masks are highly recommended and will be provided if needed. There will be no public bathrooms available.

PORA is a non-profit organization serving the interests of the unincorporated community of Sun City West since 1979.
