Resident receives fifth black belt

World Champion Master Lynda Christopher, of Sun City and Camp Verde, recently received her fifth dan black belt from the World Taekwondo Federation in Korea.

The presentation ceremony was at World Brothers Taekwondo in Tempe.

Christopher is a six-time world champion in martial arts, a six-time Arizona state champion and was inducted into the Masters Hall of Fame several years ago.

She is currently training for competitions and working towards her sixth dan black belt, which will take another six years of testing before the kukkiwon board considers and allows her to test for the sixth dan black belt.
