The Holiday Duo featuring flute and violin will perform for the Music Club of Sun City West Wednesday, Dec. 14, at the Stardust Theatre.

The Duo is Lauren Dowd-Erickson on flute and Judy Pugel on violin. Doors open at 1:30 p.m., a short business meeting begins at 2 p.m. and the concert is immediately following.

Dowd-Erickson, owner of Flute a la Carte, a music ministry, has been a semi-professional flautist for more than 30 years. She has been dedicated to the promotion of music appreciation among her Sun City West community by giving concerts, teaching flute and collaborating with other performers.

Pugel began playing the violin 50 years ago and continued to play when she moved to Vancouver, WA, performing with the community symphony. She not only performs classical but enjoys Celtic and bluegrass music. She continues to teach the violin to willing students from ages 5 to 75.

Music Club members need not be musicians to join. Programs are presented 2 p.m. the second Wednesday of the month at the Stardust Theatre, October through April. The annual membership is $5.
