I wasn’t pleased by Sam Elbe’s lengthy letter (“SCW residents don’t need to be ordered,” Sun City West Inependent, May 13, 2020), rambling complaints about a variety of issues highlighted by a vicious attack on our [Recreation Centers of Sun City West] general manager. I probably wouldn’t have felt compelled to respond were it not for his last few lines.
“If someone asked me, ‘Should I move to Sun City West,’ I will tell them no,” Mr. Elbe wrote. ”This is the last place you want to come to. It is managed by people [with] questionable judgment and run by board members that can’t think for the community. They only live in fear.”
I have two suggestions for Mr. Elbe — should you consider a follow-up, take a deep breath, and if you’re still as angry as you appeared, find somewhere else to live.
