Hosted by Benevilla
Posted
Benevilla is launching the “Lunchtime Learning Series” with a workshop titled “The 5 Biggest Myths Surrounding Hospice Care.” The workshop is 12:30-1 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 21, in the Bovard room at Benevilla, 16752 N. Greasewood St. This live In-Person/Zoom interactive presentation features senior care expert, Sylvia Butler from Hospice of the West. Both palliative care and hospice care provide comfort and support while attending to the emotional and spiritual needs of those facing an end-of-life situation. Sylvia will clear up the biggest myths around what hospice care really is.
This free presentation is part of the newly reformatted Benevilla “Educational Workshop Series.” The new workshops will be held twice a month on Wednesdays. Each workshop is only 30 minutes long and ends with an in-depth question and answer period. Each presentation is hosted by carefully selected local professionals who can answer your questions and provide guidance and resources you may need to prepare for senior life changes.
Topics were chosen for their relevance in meeting the challenges of the aging. Presentations will be a “Bullet Point” format and will cover key topics including:
Top 10 Resources for Living Independently
Top 5 Reasons a Fiduciary is Important
10 Hidden Costs of Senior Living Communities.
7 Senior Housing Options – Which Is Best for You?
Top 5 Cost Savings with Home Care
10 Priorities in Estate Planning
The workshops can also be viewed live online. Benevilla will use Zoom audio/video conference platform to host these presentations. Reservations are required, call Benevilla at 623-584-4999 or visit https://benevilla.org/community-events-2/ to reserve a spot.
