Mayo clinic trained dermatologist Dr. Ifty Ahmed joined the team of health care providers at Sun City Dermatology, 13843 W. Meeker Blvd., Sun City West.
Ahmed is a board-certified dermatologist with more than 30 years of experience. He completed his medical training at the University of Utah and at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. At the Mayo Clinic, Ahmed was an academic professor of dermatology, senior consultant in dermatology, director of dermatopathology and co-director of the dermatopathology fellowship program.
Ahmed served on the editorial boards of the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, Dermatologic Surgery and International Journal of Dermatology, and continues to serve on the editorial panel of the American Journal of Dermatopathology. He is the recipient of several practice and teaching awards and has more than 100 published abstracts and manuscripts to his credit.
“Dr. Ahmed and I worked together 10 years ago. He is semi-retiring in Arizona and felt compelled to come back to work with us,” said Sarah Neumann, PA, Sun City Dermatology founder. “We are so excited to have him on board.”
