Daughters, knitters donate to VA

The Sun City National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, Agua Fria Chapter Daughters, donated items to the Prescott Veterans Administration Donation Center.

These items are distributed between the veterans rehab center, hospital and nursing home. NSDAR Daughter Patsy Silvey delivered the donations in the rain and were accepted by Center for Development & Civic Engagement Specialist Shana Shatzer.

One of NSDAR’s missions is to promote patriotism by supporting, honoring, recognizing and thanking all United States veterans for their service. Donations included 115 pairs of white socks, 18 electric razors, playing cards, adult coloring books and colored pencils.

A donation of 64 lap robes came from the Sun City Knitters and Crochet Club. The VA distributes all donated lap robes from several organizations during the winter months. Visit aguafriaarizonadar.weebly.com.
