Benevilla invited community members struggling with getting their COVID-19 vaccination shots to attend their free drive-thru COVID-19 vaccination clinic April 24, at 16752 N. Greasewood St.

“This type of local clinic provides our community seniors with familiar and more intimate vaccine location,” stated Benevilla Director of C.A.R.E.S and Home Services, Camrron Anderson. “This reduces anxieties and fears surrounding the vaccine and makes for a more pleasant experience. We had several carloads of entire families attend the event.”

All vaccine recipients received a free resource bag filled with Benevilla programs information as well as information and brochures from many of their C.A.R.E.S. sustaining partners. NeighborCare provided registration assistance and free rides to the clinics to those in need from as far away as Glendale and Buckeye.

“In January, our Benevilla Home Services Program embarked on a mission to help create safe and simple access to the Coronavirus vaccine for the sick and shut-in seniors we serve,” stated Ms. Anderson. “Through an amazing partnership with Albertsons Osco Pharmacy in Surprise, we have been able to extend this essential opportunity to everyone in the community we serve.”

Future Benevilla vaccine clinics are scheduled for July 17 (registration starts June 28) and Oct. 2 (registration starts Sept. 6). For additional information or support in registering, call 623-584-4999.

“Benevilla is doing our part to help stop the spread of COVID-19 and working hard towards a safer and healthier community for all,” stated Joanne Thomson, Benevilla President and CEO. “Thank you to Bank of America and the Virginia G. Piper Charitable Trust for their generous support of the Benevilla Vaccine Clinics.”
