Colonial Dames place historic sites marker in Wickenburg

The Sonora Chapter Colonial Dames 17th Century placed an historic sites marker March 23 at the Wickenburg-Boetto Home in Wickenburg.
Sonora Chapter President Lillian Schauer led community leaders, notable guests and local citizens in recognizing the Wickenburg-
Boetto Home for its historic significance within the community. Colonial Dames National President General Dorothy Thompson was thrilled with the Sonora Chapter’s first historical marking and attended the local event.
One of the sustaining objectives of the National Society of Colonial Dames 17th Century is to mark and help preserve historic sites and promote public awareness of historic places.
Following the plaque dedication, there was brunch at the Western-themed Rancho de Los Caballeros Resort.
