For residents concerned about traffic, roads and safety in Sun City West, an upcoming meeting will provide useful information at no cost.

The Property Owner and Residents Association Traffic, Roads and Safety Committee will host a meeting 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 30 at the PORA office, 13815 Camino del Sol.

Motorists disregarding traffic laws, such as failing to use turn signals, red light running and excessive speed is a new item to be discussed during the upcoming meeting. In addition, more cyclists are out on the roads and some are using electric bikes, traveling at higher speeds and some on sidewalks. Intersection obstruction at the intersection of Granite Valley Drive and Stardust Boulevard is concerning to some residents.

Several agencies will be in attendance to provide current updates, including Maricopa County Sheriff/s Office, Maricopa County Department of Transportation, Sun City West Posse, Arizona Fire & Medical Authority, Sun City West PRIDES and Sun City West Cyclists.

Updates will also be provided on previous topics regarding golf car thefts, residential burglaries and vacation watch.

The next meeting is set for Wednesday, Jan. 25.
