Benevilla’s next Virtual Educational Workshop features placement expert Denisa Barbur, from AZ Senior Options, discussing how to start a conversation on planning for the future.

The free virtual educational workshop via the Zoom online platform is 1:30-3 p.m. Wednesday, March 31.

When living alone is no longer an option, finding the right place for yourself or loved one can seem an impossible task. Learn the importance of asking for help and discover the home and community-based resources available to support you during this trying time. What services do senior placement agencies offer. Is a group home the right fit? What is the difference between assisted and independent living facilities? These are just a few of the questions faced when living at home independently is no longer an option.

This workshop, part of the yearlong Benevilla C.A.R.E.S. “Virtual Educational Workshops” series, is titled “Planning for the Future – Aging in Place Successfully.” Each workshop features professionals who can answer questions and provide guidance and resources needed to prepare for senior life changes, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. The best part of the workshop series is there is absolutely no sales pitch—just timely information from an expert in the field.

To reduce the risk of public exposure during the COVID-19 pandemic, Benevilla has chosen to convert all their popular education workshops into live stream, online Zoom events. Benevilla will continue, for the near future, using the online Zoom format for their workshops. Upcoming workshops cover a broad range of important topics from in-home care management and hospice to estate preparation and tax savings tips.

Reservations are required. When registering for the event, provide a working email address. A secure link and password will then follow, as well as instructions on how to attend via the secure Zoom video conference application.

Call Benevilla at 623-584-4999 or visit benevilla.org/community-events to reserve spot.
