Name: Kevin Beasley

Age: 61

Business name: New Start Realty & Relocation, 602-920-2201, text or call 9 a,m,-9 p.m. Monday-Sunday; email newstartrealty@cox.net; visit NewStartRealty.com.

Town/Neighborhood: Surprise and Sun City.

Personal background highlights: Best team largest stringer, largest bass, Chandler Rod and Gun Club Bass Tournament 1970; biggest team catch, Harmon & Law Bass Tournament 1971; second place skeet shooting Chandler Rod and Gun 1973; fourth place Team Skeet 1974; fifth place bull riding Chandler AJRA 1976, 1978-80; U.S. Army Quartermaster Corps 13th COSCOM 565th Rep. Pts Co. Fort Hood, Texas. First place Little League coach South Phoenix Parks and Rec 1982; Maricopa County Community College 1995-98, Graduate of New Arizona Family 1997, christian volunteer work 1999-present, Phoenix Salt River Group 1997-present. Charities I support are St. Mary’s Food Bank and the East and West Valley Child Crisis Center. Looking to team up with other business people to share ideas and take action to fight homelessness in the Valley.

Professional background highlights: Founded New Start Moving in 1998, Licensed real estate salesman 2002 High Profile Realty, licensed real estate broker 2010, Founded New Start Realty & Relocation 2010. Served as chairman and voting member on several professional standards committees.

What I like most about doing business here: In the real estate end of my business, I enjoy meeting people of all ages and all walks of life and helping them get started in a new home, second home, and retirement home and vacation. Being a native, I have lived in almost every township and traveled most of the state. With so many people moving here from out of state, I learn so much about where they came from, and I feel I have a lot to share with them about our history and places to see.

Changes I’d like to see in this area: I’d like to see more park and hiking areas made at the White Tanks and maybe a Six Flags or other family theme park instead of so much industrial. What made Surprise stand out in the 2008 real estate crash was Surprise Lake, library, movie theater, bowling alley and Game Works. Homeowners and investors loved that aspect when deciding which city to buy in during the recovery period.

What I do: All aspects of residential real estate and local and long distance household moving.

What am I promoting: Currently promoting my free move program. Free full service moving on all home sales includes free Local moving, truck and pod loading, and relocation counsel.

What I’m excited about and why: I’m excited about networking with other businesses in providing food, water, clothing, household items and housing for Arizona families that could use a hand up. Resale value for furniture is low so people are starting to show a generous spirit in helping others. Something you didn’t see 7-8 years ago.

Favorite community cause and why: I appreciate St. Mary’s Food Bank. I try to give back to them when possible. When things got real slow for me they were there for me and my family. When I help out someone struggling this is where I go to purchase food boxes.

Where I was before and why I left: I grew up in Chandler, and after a bad divorce and lost loved ones, and bad associates, and prayerful consideration, I thought a new environment would help. One of the best choices I believe I have ever made.

My family: Wife Gemma, son Cory, daughter in law Judy, three grandchildren, Ryan, Lucy and Mason.

My interests and hobbies: Reading and teaching the Bible, fast cars, 4-wheeling, fishing, music (all types but partial to classic rock and classic country), singing, guitar, harmonica, Arizona history, old west biographies, martial arts and a student of Roblox and Minecraft of my grandson, Mason (aka Stomper).

People who inspire me (and how): Apostle Peter, a simple man who achieved great things through pure faith. My grandpa, who taught me the benefits of forgiveness. My granddad, to just do right; doing wrong doesn’t work. My mom, learn something every day. My dad, “If you forgive forget, or it means nothing.” My stepdad, if you show heart, you never lose, even if you don’t win.

My guiding philosophy: You can’t always do the right thing, but you can always try!

My advice to today’s youth: Treat others how you want to be treated, and seek the truth about everything, stay out of trouble.
