Alice "Joyce" Krauter

Alice "Joyce" (Clark) Krauter (86) passed away peacefully November 2, 2022, in Sun City West, Arizona. She was born July 4, 1936 in Imogene, Iowa to Wilson and Maude Clark and was the middle child of seven children. She lived in Iowa until 1968, before moving to Seattle, Washington. Joyce had a strong work ethic and after moving to Seattle she was employed in the benefits and financial area of business. With progressive advancements, she began employment at The Boeing Company in 1981 where she met and married Robert (Bob) Krauter in 1985. They both remained with Boeing until retirement in 1993. After retirement, they moved to Sun City West, Arizona. During the summer months, Joyce and Bob returned to Washington State to their recreational property at Lake Trask in Mason County. The summer relocation provided the opportunity to visit family and longtime friends. Joyce and Bob both loved the retirement lifestyle which they enjoyed together until Bob's death in 2013. Joyce loved to travel, see live performances, and participate in group activities. She enjoyed golf, bowling, square dancing, group card games, bocce, long walks, visiting local casinos, spending time with friends, and visiting family. She was a member at her local church and enjoyed their many activities and supported their mission. Joyce was loved by many people and will be greatly missed. Joyce is survived by daughter Sandra (Curtis), granddaughters Breanne (Austin), and Sarah; her sisters Marge, Carol (Tom), Julia, and brother Gary; stepchildren Deanne, and Rodney (Erin), and step grandchildren Gracie, Levi, and Anna. She was preceded in death by husband Bob Krauter; son Steven; brothers Floyd and Glen; and brothers-in-law Richard (Marge) and Donald (Julia). Interment will be at the Shelton Memorial Park in Mason County, Washington with her husband Bob.
