AAUW ‘Summer Survivors’ meet for lunch in Surprise

Members of the American Association of University Women, Northwest Valley Branch, recently gathered for the group’s July Summer Survivor luncheon at Chef Peter’s in Sun Village in Surprise.

The lunch included Rosemary Dougherty, past president and hospitality chair of the event, Sharon Astle, past president, and Suzanne James, current president of AAUW.

The next luncheon is Aug. 19 at Buca DiBeppo in Glendale. The AAUW is the nation’s leading voice promoting equity and education for women and girls.

AAUW advances gender equity for women and girls through research, education and advocacy. Membership is open to anyone holding an associate’s degree, bachelor’s or higher degree from a regionally accredited college or university. Call 623-986-0165.
