The Del E. Webb Center for the Performing Arts in Wickenburg has an exciting line-up scheduled for the 2022-23 season. The 600-seat theater will offer 23 dynamic live shows ranging in variety and style from the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra and Live from Laurel Canyon folk group, to country duo Kathy Mattea & Suzy Bogguss and a note-for-note rock recital when Classic Albums Live performs Fleetwood Mac’s “Rumours” album.

Early access tickets are available beginning Wednesday, Oct. 26, for members of the theater’s support organization, the Encore Society, and go on sale to the public Wednesday, Nov. 16.

The season kicks off Thursday, Dec. 1, with a love letter to the American West when Marty Stuart and His Fabulous Superlatives offer a blend of bluegrass and country music - dressed in their signature rhinestone Nudie suits. The Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra, featuring all-star vocalist Dianne Reeves, brings “Big Band Holiday” spirit to the theater Saturday, Dec. 10, lighting the way for The Doo Wop Project’s “Christmas” concert Saturday, Dec. 17. On Tuesday, Dec. 20, Theater Latté Da transports audiences to Christmas on the Western Front. “All is Calm: The Christmas Truce of 1914” is an extraordinary musical theater production full of camaraderie, compassion, and peace. It is the true story told in the words and songs of the men who lived through the experience.

January opens with a celebration of American folk rock when Live from Laurel Canyon honors the songs and stories of icons such as The Mamas and The Papas, James Taylor and Carole King. Later in the month, Ann Hampton Callaway offers a concert featuring the music of beloved Arizona artist, Linda Ronstadt.

Few artists have more fun on stage than platinum-selling country singer Neal McCoy. The Webb Center kicks up their boots Thursday, Feb. 9 and Friday, Feb. 10, welcoming the energetic showman as a part of Wickenburg’s 74th Annual Gold Rush Days. McCoy will perform all of his best hits, including “The Shake,” “Billy’s Got His Beer Goggles On” and “Wink.” Additional February shows include the classical-pop crossover string trio Simply Three, as well as the return of Rhythm of the Dance, the popular Irish step-dancing and music extravaganza.

At the end of March, Wickenburg’s Desert Caballeros Western Museum will present “Cowgirl Up!,” its annual exhibition displaying the brightest contemporary female visual artists working in the Western genre. In the spirit of spotlighting women’s voices and perspectives, the Webb Center stage welcomes four phenomenal females, beginning with country artists Kathy Mattea & Suzy Bogguss in a new acoustic show, “Together at Last,” Saturday, March 4, and Sunday, March 5. Physiological ecologist Dr. Lucy Hawkes will present a National Geographic Live program Monday, March 20. “Life on the Move” offers audiences an exciting look at animals from around the world and their mass migrations. Rounding out the month is legendary singer/songwriter Rosanne Cash performing an acoustic show with her life and music partner John Leventhal on Sunday, March 26.

This season, the venue is able to relax its COVID-19 protocols and policies. Proof of vaccination or negative COVID-19 test are no longer required for entry.

The full 2022-23 season line-up is posted at dewpac.org, including dates, performance times and ticket prices. Tax-deductible membership levels start at $75 and permit early ticket buying opportunities before they are available to the general public Nov. 16.

Tickets will be available online, over the phone or in-person at the Webb Center Box Office. Call 928-684-6624 for more information about Encore Society membership, advertising with the theatre or sponsoring an event.
