Military veterans will have a chance to get some dental work done at no charge.
Midwestern University Dental Institute, 5855 W. Utopia Road in Glendale, will offer a free dental day to veterans unable financially to afford care 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, April 17. To register, visit midwestern.edu/veteransdentalday or call 623-806-7150.
Free services may include dental examinations, routine cleaning, sealants, fillings, extractions, consultations on dental implants or dentures, and recommendations for followup care.
Patients should bring a copy of their DD214, Arizona driver’s license with veteran notification or other discharge documents.
Services will be provided by dental students under faculty supervision. Treatment will take an average of two hours, depending on services provided.
To maintain social distancing, participants are encouraged to arrive for their scheduled appointment time only. Early arrivals will be asked to wait outside.
Due to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and state health department guidelines, all visitors to the Midwestern campus are required to complete a health screening, wear face masks that cover the nose and mouth, and observe and follow social distancing protocols. Midwestern University officials also recommend getting the COVID-19 vaccination.
