Staff at The Woodmark, 17207 N. Boswell Blvd., Sun City wanted to find ways to stay in touch with the community through the COVID-19 pandemic and came up with a series of curbside events.
The events are designed to not only stay in touch, but allow staff to meet more of the neighbors in a safe physical distance. The events are conducted each Tuesday, and something different is done each week. The events are as simple as a lemonade stand with freshly baked cookies, a continental breakfast, a coffee truck.
The event scheduled for June 30 will be doing a “Kona Ice Day” 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
July will be Ice Cream Month. Staff will celebrate with ice cream for the community 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. each Tuesday and an ice cream truck 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. July 28.
So far, the events have been popular in the neighborhood.
