In conjunction with Habitat for Humanity

Sun City Community Assistance Network, 10195 W. Coggins Drive, whose mission is connecting people with resources to enhance their standard of living, just such a program. Together with Habitat for Humanity, CAN officials are offering this deal, but potential recipients must act soon because resources are limited.

CAN is accepting applications from low-income homeowners whose homes are badly in need of paint and who don’t have the funds necessary to paint their homes. The requirements include applicants must be a full-time Sun City resident owner/occupant; have a monthly income no greater than $1,610 for a single person or $2,178 for two persons; and have savings, investments and IRAs less than $13,300.

Once applications are filed, a team from CAN will go to the home and take a look — applicants don’t even have to be there. The team will then call the applicant with a decision.
