Sol Flower, an Arizona cannabis dispensary brand, donated 60 smoke alarms to the Sun City Fire and Medical Department as part of that organization’s fire prevention program.
Sun City Fire and Medical Department serves 42,000 households providing free installation of smoke detectors as well as ongoing maintenance training, in addition to other fire prevention tasks and its main function of fire protection and emergency medical service. The Sol Flower donation will contribute to an installation initiative of more than 500 smoke detectors this year, according to Dean Armijo, Sol Flower dispensary manager. Visit LivewithSol.com
“We are grateful for Sol Flower’s generosity and support of our fire safety program. Having local businesses participate helps us better serve residents,” said Kenny Kovac, Sun City assistant fire marshal and fire investigator.
Residents interested in having a smoke detector installed in their home can call the fire department at 623-974-2321.
Established by Copperstate Farms in 2019, Sol Flower is dedicated to empowering wellness for all and supports local organizations throughout the year, according to Mr. Armijo. An inclusive cannabis community, Sol Flower has four dispensary locations, one each in Scottsdale and Sun City and two in Tempe.
“We are proud to partner with Sun City Fire and Medical on its valuable lifesaving efforts. Promoting health and safety is important to our team and it is incredibly rewarding when we can directly impact the Sun City neighborhood that has welcomed us from day one,” Mr. Armijo said.
Sol Flower is a resource for both medical cannabis patients and adult use consumers. In Sun City, the dispensary includes a public-facing classroom, café and lounge, and hosts weekly educational courses with trusted wellness experts.
