The Rotary Club of Sun City West met May 13 at the Quail Room in Sun City West. Tammie Webb, Director of Operations, Opportunity, Community and Justice for Kids (OCJ Kids), presented about their services helping foster children find hope and promise in their future.
Gary and Tammie Webb’s (founders of OCJ Kids) passion is to reach out to the growing population of unsupervised youth age 12-18 who were gathering after school with nothing productive to occupy their time and who were being tempted by negative influences, including gangs, drugs and violent behavior.
Now in its 20th year, OCJ Kids provides group home services, DCS resources and transition programs for children and teens currently living in group congregant care in Arizona. OCJ Kids’ mission is to equip foster and at-risk children and youth by providing them tools, resources and positive role models to succeed and excel in every area of life.
