Root: Outside golfers should pay more than Sun City residents

Posted

Sun City residents pay an annual rec fee and have also paid the PIF fee when they purchased their homes.

Paying these fees gives the resident a membership/ownership in all Recreation Centers of Sun City properties. Nonresidents should have a limited number of rounds played as a guest. Their fee should be set at 1.25 times the member rate. Nonresidents who aren’t a guest of a member should be paying two times the member rate.

Making jumps in the nonresident rates may reduce play and therefore revenue. RCSC should not maintain more facilities than needed by it’s members.

Will member play increase if outside play decreases? If so, would it be sufficient to maintain all courses? If not, it is time to reduce the number of courses.
