Because of popular demand, Northwest Valley Connect is back in the swing of things and offering group trips again.

While COVID-19 remains a concern, NVC officials are taking precautionary steps that attends to a higher level of safety practices for passengers, drivers, equipment and assures rider safety. Although social distancing and masks may be an inhibitor for some people, NVC officials will continue emphasizing practices that honor the health and wellbeing of all.

Wickenburg was the first destination, with that trip conducted May 15. The trip will be repeated Saturday, June 5. One of the oldest cowboy towns in Arizona, established in 1863, it was once a contender for the state capital. There are plenty of opportunities to shop and the community is awash with art, culture and outdoor recreation.   

Continuing the theme of the “Old West,” Cave Creek scheduled for a June trip. It is another historical site, an old mining town preserved not only by the efforts of President Abraham Lincoln, but today’s residents. The museums, shopping and perhaps finding gold draw people to this area while seeking knowledge of their Arizona heritage.

Northwest Valley Connect is an essential transport organization founded as a nonprofit to serve West Valley residents who are 65 years and older, those with disabilities and veterans without access to public transportation who are living independently.
