Volunteers sought for call center

Northwest Valley Connect officials are looking for people who can give four hours per month of their time at the NVC office or from the comfort of their homes.

Volunteers can join the cadre of others as a reservationists. The friendly voices welcome those needing rides through NVC. As the first voice clients hear, reservationists are critical in helping NVC serve the Northwest Valley communities. Reservationists enroll clients in NVC program and book their rides.

NVC provides transportation to medical appointments, COVID vaccinations, essential errands and more for seniors 65 and older, veterans and persons with disabilities, giving them independence and mobility with dignity. NVC is a critical link for many who live alone and do not drive, enabling them to fully function again.

After in-office training, NVC officials ask reservationists to commit to at least one 4-hour shift per month. Flexible scheduling for shifts is available to accommodate volunteers’ availability. Volunteers can work from home and NVC can provide a laptop if needed.

Call the NVC volunteer coordinator at 623-282-9300 or email kchandler@northwestvalleyconnect.org.
