Please don’t walk your dog in the heat. If you can’t put your bare foot down on the pavement, then you should not let your dog walk on the pavement.

Mueller: Pet owners should carry their dogs in Sun City

Posted

Please don’t walk your dog in the heat.

If you can’t put your bare foot down on the pavement, then you should not let your dog walk on the pavement.

I saw a woman walking her tiny white toy poodle on Hutton Drive and the dog was so cute. It was 102 degrees.

I called out to the woman that she should not be walking her dog but she just laughed at me. Evidently she does not know it only takes a few minutes to burn his feet. Dogs do not show pain so she won’t know i they are burned. Also, the extreme heat affects their brain and this only takes a very short time.

I am sorry this woman did not carry her dog and is not interested in protecting him.
