Man wounded in Youngtown firearm accident

A man received a gunshot wound to the leg but survived.

Maricopa County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to a residence in the 11100 block of West Nebraska Avenue in Youngtown abput 4:15 a.m. Sept. 16 for a report of a shooting victim. Upon arrival deputies discovered that an adult male was cleaning his gun when he accidentally shot himself in the leg.

He was transported with non-life-threatening injuries.
