Julian Donald Dresser

Julian Donald Dresser (Don), 87, formerly of Sun City, AZ passed peacefully on September 25, 2022. Don was born in Lubbock, Texas on June 13, 1935, to Elbert (Joe) and Ina Dresser. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister and brother-in-law Mary and Jimmie McDaniel and brother Wayne Dresser. Don enlisted in the Marine Corps after high school. After his service, Don started college to pursue television production/administration. He began working for CBS in 1961 and worked his way up from Script Typist to Production Manager. He worked on shows such as “All in the Family”, “The Jeffersons” and “Hawaii 5-0” as well as many other lesser-known productions. In 1976 Don moved to Hawaii and began working at Hawaii Public Television as Production Manager. In the late 1980’s, Don moved to Arizona to be closer to family. After making the decision to officially retire, he made the choice to stay close to his parents to help them for as long as they needed assistance. During this time, the three of them fell in love with cruising and traveled all over the world. Although Don didn’t have any children, he is survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and even several great-great-nieces and nephews. He’s also survived by his friends that became family to him, Paul Castelli and Catherine Persello. He will be missed tremendously and will be forever in our hearts. Don will be laid to rest with military honors Saturday, October 22, 2022, at 12pm at Sunland Memorial Park Lakeside Mausoleum “D”, 15826 Del Webb Blvd, Sun City, AZ 85351.
